For 23 years, the Atlanta Underground Film Festival has stood behind real independent filmmaking. It’s a place for artists who take chances, tell honest stories, and make films their own way.
The 23rd Annual AUFF runs August 7 to 9, 2026, at Limelight Theater. Each year, we showcase films that live outside the mainstream, from short bursts of creativity to features that challenge ideas and keep Atlanta’s underground spirit alive.
Filmmakers love AUFF because we champion their work and treat them like family. Audiences love it because they know they’ll see something real, surprising, and worth talking about. Beyond the screenings, the weekend is packed with wild parties, mixers, and plenty of chances to connect with other film lovers.
